The Amnesty Memorial is a project of the Ministry of Justice in partnership with the Federal University of Minas Gerais and the local government of Belo Horizonte that aims to preserve the memories of political repression in Brazil since 1946 until the first years of re-democratization. Its activities will take place in the old building of the Colégio de Aplicação.
In 2009, invited by the Federal University of Minas Gerais and the Ministry of Justice, SANTA ROSA BUREAU CULTURAL coordinated and developed the first stage of conception and implementation articulation of the Memorial, responsible for the technical and executive management of the project. The Bureau composed all the first phase content and museography teams, and organized, planed and produced videography and multimedia. For the proposed museography, two of the best-known scenography designers in the country, Daniela Thomas and Felipe Tassara, were invited.
As a unique archive, the Memorial was conceived and designed to make available to public query 64 thousand projects submitted to the Ministry of Justice’s Amnesty Commission, besides documents, photographs, songs, films, newspapers, magazines, illustrations, texts and testimonies
Project not implemented.
