A daring articulation between Baroque musical scores from the 18th century and musical and visual contemporaneous manifestations, Concert for Curves, Bells and Angels was an impressive multimedia spectacle that took place in one of the most beautiful sceneries of colonial Brazil: the courtyard of the Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Ouro Preto.
Produced by SANTA ROSA BUREAU CULTURAL, which also supplied project consulting and collected resources for its execution, the event combined the sound of church bells and orchestral music (exclusively composed by the musical director Paulo Santos from a previous eighteenth-century work) with the projection of electronic images, forms and textures created by Éder Santos, one of the most important directors in the national and international video making scene.
The concert promoted an innovative transdisciplinary dialogue that brought together artistic manifestations from distinct periods, contributing to the understanding of the relationships between cultural heritage and new expression forms.
